The Australian native graduated from Sydney's prestigious National Institute of Dramatic Arts and began his career as an actor. He has subsequently worked extensively in film, television and theater.

In 1993, Pearce developed the television comedy series "House Gang." Sold worldwide, the series is now entering its second season.
