GLOBE THEATRE REALLY HOT!
"King" Burns It To Ground

The Globe Theatre was the playhouse most connected with Shakespeare. It was built in 1599 in a neighborhood considered "unsavory" and was the most beautiful theatre up to its time. It was very large, octagonal (eight-sided, like a stop sign), and was open to the sky. In 1613, a squib fired from a cannon during a performance of "Henry VIII" caught the roof on fire and The Globe was completely destroyed.
